Goober Face!

I spent the evening with my nephew Aidan Joshua yesterday. Few other things, if any, than making my niece and nephew smile bring me such great joy. Aidan makes this crazy face when he gets really happy. This is his level ten happy face. Silly boy!!

Mucking through the Morning Marsh

I ventured back to Le Furge Nature Reserve again this morning. Symantha brought her Golden Retriever, Luna, who was a blast. Seriously, a fantastic dog. A huge thanks to these girls for meeting up with me at 7 am to get to the reserve for this shoot!

Who knew it was THIS sunny out at 8 am? Not I.

The best thing about shooting at 8 am? NO MOSQUITOES! 

Tomorrow I will be assisting at my first wedding with the talented Melissa Squires. I am 15% nervous, 85% excited!! I hope to just get a lot of rest today, and go buy a wedding appropriate getup. YAY WEDDINGS!!

First photo adventure of the summer!

Not that dinner and a movie doesn't make for a great date, but on such a sunny beautiful day I just HAD to do something outdoors. So Chris and I went on a multiple location photo adventure date. After moving my bedroom into my living room (I'm turning my one bedroom apartment into a two bedroom apartment) I wanted to see how the light was working in my new space. I am really wanting to be photographing people together more. What better way to start than by photography my lovely boy and myself together! Here's us in my living room

We drove over to Peninsular Park and wandered around for a bit. There were about nine billion mosquitoes attacking us, but it was worth it for this one shot of my boy.

Then we drove to LeFurge Nature Preserve. There was a lot more to explore, but with the self timer method it took a while just to get a few shots of us. Who wants to go back here with me for a portrait session?

New blog!

Summer is here! I'm SO ready for it! I am actually not in school for the first summer in years and I am more than happy about it. Even without school I seem to have plenty to keep me busy, including these lovely kids. Now we can all keep track of my summer adventures. Here's a few snapshots of the start of my summer:
