I had the, ahem, honor of photographing the talented Ann Arbor folk band Orpheum Bell yesterday. Here's how things are looking.
Stylistically, I'm not sure how I want these to end up looking. I'll have to talk to them a little bit, but I was considering something like this

A preview!
I have many, many, many photos I want to share! I went on an awesome shoot with Anna last night. It is 1 am. I am tired. More to come.
Absolutely stunning!
Love these two together. Steve didn't want to be photographed, but I kind of made him. And glad that he complied!
Playing with this new idea for processing that is different than what I've been doing...
Rob came along with us, too :D I can't wait til Monday, when he and I get to make prints and mount them all afternoon! For the Night of The Arts!
Tooooooo Cute.
I have way too many favorites from this session. Thoughts?!?!

Playing dress up...
After getting home pretty late, and after eating a delicous bowl of cereal, I got the itch to do some self portraits. I've not done something like this in a while, and after the initial frusteration of the self timer method, I ended up having a little fun with it. Then I couldn't help but editing and processing the whole thing in one sitting. Now it's after two am and I just drank a big cup of Kava tea. time to sleep? yes.
Here's how most of it went...
Jumping off my bed :P
A few of my favorite individual shots...

My first wedding with Melissa!
After assisting Melissa Squires for the first time on Sunday, I am even more stoked than before about interning for her! This is a fantastic opportunity and I am honored to get to work beside her. On Sunday I wasn't quite responsible for shooting, but rather shadowing her and her husband around to get my feet wet and get an idea of their process. I did get to bring my camera along and grab a few shots though. Although I have a few things to learn from Melissa to get the best shots that I can, I am really happy with a handful of shots that I did get. These were in between switching Melissa's lenses, holding the groom's suit jacket and water bottle and talking about how to get better lighting for portraits midday on a super sunny day.
Please be sure to check out Melissa's Blog!
Everything at the wedding was very simple. From the colors to the flowers, everything was beautiful and pretty refreshing.

She's eating one of the petals. Too cute.

At the reception, these were the table centerpieces.
Lastly, here's the cake!
