Visit with the Munch

I brought my camera along for a visit with the little guy today. Aidan is getting so stinking big!

In the words of Rachel Dupont: "look at his head and his ears and his eyes and his teeth!! GAAHHH!!"

The munch, Aidan Joshua, and his FAVORITE Aunt Tabbatha. I'm dying to see what he translates "Aunt Tabb
Technologically advanced toddler.

Blowing kisses to grandma.

New Season, New Adventures

Now that the air is warming (a teeny bit) I've been feeling much more in the mood for photo adventures. This past weekend Anna and I woke up feeling all out of sorts.

Anna: When do you next have to be somewhere?
Tabbatha: I have to be to work at 8:30 tomorrow morning.
Anna: Okay...so...we'll be back by then.
Tabbatha: Huh?
Anna: We're driving to Lake Michigan.

So we grabbed some fruit and gluten free snacks, made a quick playlist, grabbed a large cup of coffee from Ugly Mug and set out on the highway. Here is what we found three hours later on our westward journey.

Cold, deserted Grand Haven State Park. As beautiful as it is in the middle of summer, crammed with children building sandcastles and sunbathers and college kids and seagulls, I find it equally beautiful empty, quiet and all to myself.
Picnic tables waiting to be unstacked out of their winter hibernation.

Stopping at a cafe to sip a latte and warm up for a minute before we ventured back outside to explore the town.
My favorite view- of Grand Haven, and of the world.

Basically what we found on the door of every thing along the beach. Bathrooms, shops, restaurants. But they can't close the fresh air and snshine!

Home at the end of the night, somehow exhausted. Who knew walking around and squinting at the sun could be tiring?

Of course, drinking kava tea.
