Now that the air is warming (a teeny bit) I've been feeling much more in the mood for photo adventures. This past weekend Anna and I woke up feeling all out of sorts.
Anna: When do you next
have to be somewhere?
Tabbatha: I have to be to work at 8:30 tomorrow morning.
Anna: Okay...so...we'll be back by then.
Tabbatha: Huh?
Anna: We're driving to Lake Michigan.
So we grabbed some fruit and gluten free snacks, made a quick playlist, grabbed a large cup of coffee from Ugly Mug and set out on the highway. Here is what we found three hours later on our westward journey.

| Cold, deserted Grand Haven State Park. As beautiful as it is in the middle of summer, crammed with children building sandcastles and sunbathers and college kids and seagulls, I find it equally beautiful empty, quiet and all to myself. |

| Stopping at a cafe to sip a latte and warm up for a minute before we ventured back outside to explore the town. |

| Basically what we found on the door of every thing along the beach. Bathrooms, shops, restaurants. But they can't close the fresh air and snshine! |

| Home at the end of the night, somehow exhausted. Who knew walking around and squinting at the sun could be tiring? |
